The OTHM is a membership body founded in London in 2001 by a group of specialists
from the industry and academia. The aim of OTHM is to make membership, qualifications,
and continuous professional development accessible and relevant to individuals and
employers in the world's largest industry.
OTHM provides a programme of professional qualifications that are designed for Student Members to develop progressively the skills and knowledge that they will need to help them in their careers. OTHM supports and encourages initiatives that help to minimize the impact of tourism on the environment and culture of host destinations. Key aims of OTHM are to make qualifications and continuous professional development accessible and relevant to individuals and employers in the world's largest industry.
OTHM offers the following programmes:
• Certificate in Tourism & Hospitality Management
• Diploma in Tourism & Hospitality Management
• Higher Diploma in Tourism & Hospitality Management
Registration and other fees:
The student must be registered with OTHM to sit for the examination and obtain the qualification.
Registration with OTHM could not be simpler. You only register once with them – so as long as you keep your membership up-to-date, you remain a current member. It is fully student responsibility to register with the awarding body. However LSBC administration staff members can clarify the process to all the students in need of help.
Registration Fee: £60 (GBP60)
This fee is only paid once when you first register with OTHM, and includes the first year's annual subscription.
Annual subscription: £40 (GBP40)
To keep your membership in force you must renew your membership every year by paying the annual subscription fee.
Examination fees: £35 (GBP35) per subject
