Entry Criteria
No formal qualifications are required but applicants should demonstrate competence in English by the attainment of one of the following:
British Council - Intermediate Certificate in English/Upper Advanced Certificate
in English
LCCI - English for Business (EFB) 1st or 2nd level
British Council - Intermediate Certificate in English/Upper Advanced Certificate
in English
Pitman/City and Guilds - English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)/English
for Business and Communication
English Language competency of IELTS 6.0 (5.0 to 6.0 - 3 months pre-English course
required)

Course Structure
The course modules are:

• Introduction to Business Communication
• Introduction to Travel, Tourism and Hospitality
Methods of Assessment
The three-hour written examinations are held twice a year (usually the first week in June and December) in one of the ABE centres.
Teaching Methods
The programme is taught by a dedicated team of staff drawn largely from full-time members of the school but supplemented where necessary by external lecturers and speakers and professionals from industry. There is a mixture of lecture and seminar work in the course with a particular emphasis on group work. This allows experiences to be shared and develops cross-cultural awareness and opportunities to develop links and networks in the long run.
Progression & Career Options
Upon successful completion of the Certificate Level the student will be eligible for admission to the Diploma Level in Business Information Systems. With the whole programme conclusion (Advanced Diploma qualification) the student may be accepted in the last year of various degrees courses in recognized universities in the UK and world wide.
